Do you have the skills, experience or knowledge to help our Community to raise much needed funds? Perhaps you have a few spare hours you would like to give to us? If so why not get in touch and enquire about the Volunteer Fundraiser Role.
The Esther Community provides a high level of accommodation based support to 19 children and young people coping with a variety of issues including, but not limited to, substance misuse, mental health needs and offending. The project comprises a 15 bed hostel and 4 self contained bedsits in adjacent building. In addition, we provide 4 training flats accommodating young people.
The successful candidate will be able to work as part of a small team at the Esther Community and as part of the larger team of Keychange Charity. Previous experience is essential; however, full training will also be given. Enthusiasm and a genuine desire to enable young people to make a positive change to their lives is essential.
Bank staff will be expected to cover a shift at short notice as well as planned staff absence therefore flexibility is necessary. The Esther Community is a 24 hour service and the shifts will be a mixture of days, evenings and waking nights. There is also an expectation that the successful candidate(s) will be prepared to work over the Christmas period.
Keychange is a Christian charity and candidates will be sympathetic to the ethos of the organisation.
Hourly rate includes a 12% annual leave premium and starts at £8.90 rising to £9.40 on successful completion of 6 month probationary period.
Esther Community operates safer recruitment practice and as such this post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
